Start of Second Data Collection Period for Study “Erwartungen an Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft” in Germany

Beginning January 2017, the second data collection for the study “Erwartungen an Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft”, which SOKO Institute conducts on behalf of the faculty for sociology of Bielefeld University, starts in Germany.

SOKO Institute begins the second of three data collection periods from January 2017 onwards. The nationwide conducted study “Erwartungen an Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft”, which was initiated by Bielefeld University, is concerned with citizen’s attitude towards economic and societal issues. Another objective is to identify why these attitudes change over time. In order to register, how changes in economic and societal circumstances affect interviewees, data is collected within a longitudinal study, which results in all participants of the study being interviewed at three different points in time. All participants are chosen on the basis of social insurance reports (only with participant's explicit consent) in order to complement additional statistical data, such as value measurements of percentages of men and women or on distribution of income.

As with all surveys we conduct, strictest data protection regulations are followed.
