Violence and Sexual Abuse

Since the German Federal Government set up the round table “sexual child abuse” in march 2010 and the first “Unabhängige Beauftragte zur Aufarbeitung des sexuellen Kindesmissbrauchs (UBSKM), Dr. Christine Bergmann, of The Federal Ministry of Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women & Youth (BMFSFJ) was commissioned, SOKO Institute has been researching within the framework of central research commissions surrounding the topic of “Prevention of Sexual Abuse of Children and Adolescents”.

Research on dark figures, prevalence studies and surveys on preventions are the main focus of this research field. Clinics, schools or boarding schools are interviewed entities. The Federal Agency for Health Education is one of many clients. Apart from that, there are also studies on violence and crime in general that are partly commissioned by the police, which are conducted by SOKO Institute.
