Social Sector and Family

 

The area Social Affairs & Family encompasses subject matter from discrimination and prevention of sexualized violence to social inclusion and rehabilitation in society.

SOKO Institute has been active in the area of Family & Social Affairs and has established itself through various research and experience in this field. With scientific expertise, processes of political decision making are theoretically and empirically substantiated with respective expertise of different disciplines. The effectiveness of programs is tested on the basis of conducted studies, where a concrete need for action and support can be identified in order to develop regulation and optimize.

SOKO Institute works in close cooperation with clients such as the Federal Centre for Health Education (BZgA) for the evaluation of the on-site initiative “Trau Dich!” within the scope of the nationwide initiative for the prevention of sexualize child abuse. In addition, studies in this area are conducted for the Federal Ministry of Education & Research (BMBF) or the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS). SOKO Institute cooperates furthermore with Bielefeld University for the projects “Lebensbedingungen geflüchteter Menschen in Ostwestfalen“ and the special research area 882 (SFB 882) „Von Heterogenitäten zu Ungleichheiten“.
